Among the passengers aboard the Queen Mary in 1952 was a relation of L's emigrating to the U.S.
Came across this while looking for something else & noticed a signature on their menu.
A gentleman called H B Garlock from the States. I discovered that this gent was a missionary who with his wife in 1922 volunteered to go to Africa to visit a tribe called the Pahns. No missionaries had ever worked with them. The reason was they were cannibals.
I often wonder whether this was discussed during the voyage ?
Rev. Garlock's daughter in law wrote a book about this mission called Before We Kill and Eat You .
Sounds an interesting book.
