Unpredictable

Well, Tuesday's walk with Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Ramblers had everything: bright sunshine and blue skies, rain, hail, sleet, wind and snow.

Just a few minutes before this photo was taken we were battling through a blizzard, all hunched up and hooded and considering an early finish. Then the snow turned to rain and, before we could say "where's the nearest coffee shop?" the sun burst through and the Callendar Estate took on a different look and feel.

As it happened, an hour or so after we had finished our walk (which lasted only a couple of hours anyway) and went our separate ways, there was thunder and lightning, swiftly followed by a hailstorm. Yep, just as I was walking back from Falkirk town centre back to Callendar Park, where I had parked my car. Thank goodness for winter weather walking gear!
