We stopped briefly at Tahunanui Beach in Nelson, NZ as the sun was in the final stages of setting. It was still extremely warm and balmy and a lovely finish to our brief holiday in the North Island.

I have included several extra photos of Wellington in the North Island and the Sounds in the South Island. 
Extra 1 - The black & white Point Halswell lighthouse in colour and surrounded by stormy seas.It was very windy in the capital city this morning and we expected a rough Cook Strait ferry crossing, but to our surprise it was calm and relaxing.
Extra 2 - A view from the ferry as we sailed towards the Wellington Heads. In the distance is the featured lighthouse and tucked among the trees above is the Massey memorial.
Extra 3 - The entrance to Tory Chanel in NZ’s Marlborough Sound as the ferry navigates its way to Picton - the South Island destination.
