Spring is here
What a delight! Within 8 days I could watch it happen. From the first small daffodils in neighbors garden, to a whole bed of the big yellow and white daffodils, to blooming Forsythia, greening bushes, to a full opening of all the cat tails and the first Japanese plum and cherry blossoms. A big willow let her thin branches sway in the wind covered in the light green little leaves that only show in very early spring. This last week was unusually warm so quickly after the last frost days that it seems as if all the budding and coloring comes at once. Today was crowned by a cute magnolia tree, over and over full of blooms, the big ones. I fiddled a bit with the blossoms, just for fun.
And just while I am writing all this, a new cold spell has come and the coming days will not promise much good for all these beautiful blooms that have opened. New snow on the mountains and cold rains for us in the valley. It's time to look forward to the upcoming trips, San Diego first and Phoenix next.
Thanks for all your positive feedback for my last two journal entries. It was a very special pleasure to notice that two of my pics were in the popular pages.
