Suspended leaf

Monday
When Roger and I went out to the car this morning, we found this leaf, which at first glance appeared to be suspended in mid air. On closer inspection, we found it was hanging from a spider's web, and I thought it deserved to be photographed, though the web itself didn't show up quite as clearly as I'd have liked. Today was overcast, though still warm, with the threat of rain. Roger and I went to work out at the gym this morning, then after lunch we went looking for more Art for All installations over in Fairfield on the west side of town, the area in which we lived when we first arrived in the States - so it was a bit of a trip down Memory Lane. Some parts we remembered and recognized, but other areas have changed completely. They now have this lovely new area, housing a civic park, with an amphitheater, the public library, community arts center and civic offices, making a great focal point, which was lacking at the time we were living there. We were at our fourth work of art, when it started raining, and was soon throwing it down. When we first got on the interstate, we could hardly see where we were going. Yet we hadnt gone more than about five miles, and the rain stopped, and the road was virtually dry - obviously very localized showers.
