Spring equinox

I love spring blossom, especially when it is the hedgerow trees that are in bloom. This Blackthorn (or Sloe) Prunus spinosa , was flowering for England on the side of a layby probably unnoticed by 99% of the population, but a magnet to solitary bees and wasps, and something that always cheers me up without fail!
