Frosted

My Dear Fellow,

It was chilly this morning, there was even some light snowfall in the city centre. I tried to get photographic evidence of this, but snowflakes do not photograph well. I'll be honest, all of my pictures just look like people hunkering down and trying to get away from invisible bees.

It is rubbish. Although now that I think about it, THE INVISIBLE BEES sounds like the best Irwin Allen film ever. Do you think we can get Michael Caine or Gene Hackman for the lead? With Raquel Welch or Dyan Cannon as the love interest. And George Kennedy, obviously.

Anyway, so here is a picture of frosty ground instead. It was accompanied by a biting wind and I had a cruel laugh at a bunch of blokes going for a run around the Gyle estate. They came out of the office behind me at lunchtime. There was me, with my scarf on and a woolly hat, and them in their running shreddies.

There was a huge WHOOOOOSH of chilly wind from behind us. I felt it all the way through my jacket. And one of the men let out a SHRIEK.

"OoooooOOOOOOOH!!!"

That poor man. He had to endure the mockery of his mates all the way to the front gate. It was very funny. I expect he is living it down still.
