A walk in the park at lunchtime. I was musing on Martin McGuinness who died early this morning. A man of war, a man of peace. Some might be alive today were it not for his actions, some might be dead today, were it not for his actions. No easy choices. The bust is of the Long Fellow, Eamon de Valera, a similar figure in republican Irish history, hero to some, villain to others, also went from guerrilla fighter/terrorist to politician and statesman. No easy memories.
RIP Martin McGuinness. Tá a lá taghta.
