Croome Court

After yesterday's dreary day, we woke to sunshine and made a spur of the moment decision to make use of our National Trust membership and go on a visit.

The choice was Croome, home of the 6th Earl of Coventry, with grounds landscaped by Capability Brown. It also has a museum describing the wartime history when Croome was the secret airbase of RAF Defford. All very interesting!

We did lots of walking, including a lengthy detour to see what we thought was a hide amongst the trees. Big mistake! (see extra photo).
