Playing Field

The view from my childhood bedroom window overlooks the school playing field. The primary school was the centre of the community when I was growing up. I always feel a sense of nostalgia as I watch the children running around the sports field beyond the silver birch tree.

The field was empty today and the sunlight at dusk gave a halo-like glow around the tree. Shame to filter the shot into mono! I'll try to add the colour version in extras.
