Maseru

My dad and I went for a walk in the town of Maseru today. Because it is New Years, most of the businesses are closed. A few were open because the people cannot afford to not work. With so few people and cars, I began to notice how awful the conditions are here.
There was trash everywhere, covering the streets. The sidewalks were completely torn apart. These stands were lined up for blocks, where people usually sell fruit, jewelry, or whatever else. Today only a few were being used.
It was sad to see all this and I felt awful for taking pictures of it all, but it's so unbelievable.
