Outing
The main event of the day was a photographic outing to the Haining in Selkirk. It is a large country mansion overlooking a fine loch and comes complete with a small estate. The stable block has been converted to accommodation and studio space for artists and crafts folk. It was left to a trust to be used for the benefit of the community. The house is beginning to look a little the worse for wear and is need of some attention and a sustainable future.
We too a scenic route back home through the rolling hills and fast flowing rivers of the Border countryside. We stopped at a small church in Yarrow. It had three delightful stained glass windows, one of which I have used as a blip.
A fine day.
