Rock of ages

A strange piece of rock on the north end of the beach this morning.  I've not noticed it before though I don't go up there very often but I imagine the stormy seas recently have washed it up.  It doesn't look like anything in the cliffs around there so goodness knows where it started life.  And what about those tennis ball sized lumps of crystal embedded in the lacery of the stone?  Very unusual.
