Paul Carrack - Beautiful World

It rained, which turned a very recently dried out festival site a wee bit muddy. It didn't feel much like a beautiful world! Especially when you need to sit down to make it through the day.

But it dried out...and we hugely enjoyed Frank Fairfield. Ad really wanted to see the Villagers, the only issue with this was that they were on at 10...and I had been flaking by 9.30 most nights. So I had a nap back in the tent - we missed Woods on the main stage, but I'll be investigating them as they sounded good. And we made it back to see Graham Coxon, Patti Smith (immense), Deer Tick (surprisingly good, as haven't been impressed by what I've heard recorded before) and yes the Villagers. Who were brilliant. And well worth staying up late for.
