Mr and Mrs Kuching

These two lovelies greet me every time I walk in my back door.  They are dressed in Malay batik and come from Kuching, in Sarawak, Borneo.  These cats are very special to me as my husband bought them just before we came home.  Kuching in Malay means cat.  These two a just a small part of my community of wooden cats.

It's always lovely to be back at school after a weekend but today was even lovely as I was greeted before even in the gate by a year 13 as if I was her long lost friend.  A huge hug, we walked in chatting and as I unlocked the library and she says....ahhh so nice to be here.  It made my day!
