Simonside rock art

We had intended to walk on the Simonside Hills near Rothbury this afternoon, but other things got in the way and the weather was rather off-putting to say the least. Wet and very windy! When we eventually arrived, there was time only to walk as far as one of the stones with cup and ring marks. Apparently there are several more, and a hill fort, so we shall go back again before too long and explore further. The light conditions weren't very favourable for any decent shots, but you get the idea. (The extra is not as clear, but is more interesting than the main Blip - looks like a depiction of the solar system!)

On to Scots Gap for a meal with MrM's friend M and his wife.
