Isla

Skipped lunch, so I could leave work early to pick up some bike bits from the Edinburgh Bike Co-op, namely to replace a hanging-by-a-thread gear cable. Lots of people enjoying the late evening sun on the Meadows, but I only bothered a couple of chaps who were waiting for some friends before cooking their supper. Cooking as in a big chicken, a big pot, and a big fire. Definitely a step above the usual barbequeues.

This is an experimental pose, in that I saw her playing with her hair in a shop and I thought it would make a good pose. I told her that getting people to do interesting things with their hands is a major challenge for my portrait photography. She wasn't super keen on the idea, but still agreed to pose for me. In return, I wouldn't show her the camera preview, which seemed a reasonable (if a bit strange) deal. I actually like her pose and I honestly think I got the better end of our bargain...
