Corridors of Power
Ice hockey tonight. One of those rare Caps home games on a Saturday.
Nottingham Panthers the visitors. They became the first British team to win the Continental Cup this season. It was expected to be a tough day at the office for Caps.
It was. But they dug deep and lost 2-3. They came within inches of an equaliser in the dying seconds.
I'm glad I went, having been in two minds all morning. A good game. A chance to see a champion team. Last but not least, a chance to see Brian McGrattan play. One of those larger than life characters who's very large in real life too. He made it look easy without trying.

The Blip is Panthers coach Corey Neilson waiting to send his team out at the start. Looks like he's about to make a rude gesture, but I don't think he did (the league has rules about that - coaches can't give Blippers the Finger).
