Grrrrrrrr

I am about to quilt a sample or rather a smaller version of Fu's uni quilt. I thought I would use my janome 1600 which I have had for years. When I tried it earlier in the week it wouldn't sew. I think I had the same problem many years ago when I last used it. So off it went to the meanders for a service. I got it back today, after some fiddling and realising that the needle threads left to right, it works. Yeah! But, I want to sew straight parrallel lines and the walking foot doesn't have a line guide. Grrrrrrrr! If you are a sewer you will understand my frustration.
