How Strange

I have had my mam's writing desk for almost 19 years and during this time I have tidied it out several times.  The other day I went into one of the drawers and found this box of gramophone needles.  I don't remember ever seeing them before.  Many, many years ago we had a gramophone that was made by my grandfather but he died in the 1950's.  I am wondering if these date back to then.
