We have lived here for 13 years and this is he first time we have seen this bird in our garden.

It is a Red Legged Partridge.

Imagine the scene. After breakfast and Knottman is sitting in his armchair reading the Washington Post. I am appalled by Trump trying to make his Press Secretary claim that in claiming Obama tapped his phone he didn't really mean what he said. Then implying it was the British what did it!

And enjoying the increasing chaos among the Republicans in Congress when they discover that they will not be able to replace Obamacare without losing millions of votes and breaking Trump's promises of cheaper and better care for everybody.

Suddenly there is a call from Mrs. K. "Camera"
And there indeed is a bird we have not hosted before.

The shot was taken through the window and some distance away. I think I have reason to be pleased with my Christmas Lumix bridge camera.
