Opening a Can of Worms
Ah well, the battle lines have been drawn and the powers in the land have re-opened a can of worms rather than a jar of sugar.
We have been here not three years ago when we thought the question had been sorted once and for a generation, but the Nationalists have been handed Brexit on a bargaining plate and so we have to endure another round of mudslinging from the opposing camps and division between friends and amongst families.
As before, there will always be an elephant in the room when discussing anything remotely connected with politics. The fall out from open dissension and belligerency between the 'Yeses' and the 'No thanks' will be hard to live through again.
Perhaps I shouldn't take it to heart, after all I might not be here for much longer to witness life after the fray, which ever way the voting goes.
My shelf life is numbered.
