Paro, Bhutan

Today, we drove to Paro. The weather is awful, heavy rain and so taking piccys has not been easy at all. Paro is a beautiful old town and the good news is that it is quiet at the moment as most Indian & Chinese tourists do not like the current weather.
 
Tomorrow we are going to attempt the walk to the Tiger’s Nest ,which is at 3,000 metres or about 10,000 feet. Normally, I wouldn’t worry about it but the forecast is for quite heavy snow. The trek could be quite difficult in the conditions, but if we do have snow, the monastery could look quite stunning!! It is a place I have wanted to visit for many years so the weather will not put me off. I have my fingers crossed my lungs will cope with the cold and altitude.
 
Usually, the weather manages to be at it’s worse when I would like it to be at it’s best, no surprises there!
