Day 8

A terrific day! Dunblane Cathedral in the morning, lovely very tasty lunch, the Falkirk wheel and the Kelpies in the afternoon. All impressive and wonderful in their own ways, but I think the cathedral won overall. You are able to get so close to the stained glass windows, via yet another spiral stair, and it is such a privilege to see all the fine detail.
The fact that the Falkirk wheel was actually working was great to see. What a feat of engineering, amazing to see. And the size of the Kelpies, to be able to get so close and see the construction so clearly, with the canal and boats for those of a slightly less equine bias!
