A rabble of butterflies...
... on our buddleia bush this afternoon. At one point there were ten - a mixture of Peacocks and Small Tortoiseshells. Good job I didn't have to go far for my blip, I'm a bit stiff after my exertions yesterday!
Apparently the collective noun for butterflies is either swarm or rabble - neither of which I think are delicate enough for these lovely creatures. Something more like "a chiffon of butterflies" would be more apt?
