farewell

last night, we turned on the one cell phone we brought (as we needed a time-piece for this morning). slightly bummed to actually know the time for the first moment in days, we set an alarm and grumbled at having a time crunch the next day. must be time to head back to civilization

today brought a beautiful 7 mile hike along the lake superior shoreline, a 50 mile ferry to copper harbor, and a more than 400 mile drive home.
