Redpoll

Forecasters are predicting a wet and windy weather front moving in tonight, which I believe is the same one which has been dropping snow on Becky on east coast US.  So, with that in mind, Tony and I had an early bike ride around the Oxenhope circuit which turned out to be good practice for the Hebrides where we are likely to be pedalling against Atlantic winds.  Since then it has been a day of jobs and an hour on the patio blipping the birds in the elder tree, hence the redpoll on the niger seed.  The goldfinches were not impressed with this interloper at their feeder!
