Glory be!

After 14 years of waiting, our lemon tree has borne it's very first fruit! At least we think it is a lemon tree and that this is a lemon; some have cast doubt on it, including Blip's very own q8rdave who personnally laid hands on the tree barely two months ago and speculated it may be more in the lime line! And Dot, who was here last week, said lemon trees have spikes on the branches; ours has none, while another one alongside does and also has leaves that smell lemony, but again no fruit so far!

Any ideas, fellow blippers, as to what this may be, and what colour it will become? Whatever it is, no gin and tonic will have tasted better, or been longer awaited, whenever it is ripe to be plucked!
