Fish Ladder - The First Rung

The first tentative steps on the  Fish Ladder project started yesterday.

When I say tentative, the guys from West Lothian Council weren't very tentative once the trees that had to be removed were indentified and marked.................timmmmmmmmmmber!

Fear not all you tree huggers out there. Once the project has been completed,  trees will be planted to replace the five felled yesterday so there'll be plenty more to hug.

BTW - How many cooncil workers does it take to fell 5 wee trees?
