An Artist's Life

Tropical Montana

Spotted on our way to the big Russell Art Week and Out West Art Show. Must have one of these....although they are 12 feet tall and still buried in snow. Maybe a smaller edition is available. And in a warmer spot than the to of the Continental Divide.
Weather is fabo in Great Falls. The prisoners were waiting for us. We artists pay prisoners from the pre-release center to help us off-load our art. They get credit (and some spending $$) and we all chat about art and everything under the sun. Our Brian and George made the load-in so enjoyable. They loved the art and all the artists and we enjoyed sharing stories with these mostly young men who need some positive feedback on their upcoming reentry into society. Everybody was comparing tattoos, too. Very arty.
