A Walk in the Park

This is my friend, Tony, taking a well-deserved break on our walk this morning.  He is 94 1/2 years old and can still do our usual route of almost a mile.  Tony has dementia and will not remember that we walked but he sure had a good time while we were doing it.  We always talk the whole way and laugh a lot.  He likes silly riddles so I try to always have a few new ones for him....and I can slip in some old ones that are new to him all over again.  His favorite is "Why is six afraid of seven?... Because seven eight (ate) nine!"  I love spending time with him and visiting with the other residents at his memory care facility.  It always makes my day!  :-))
