New beginnings

A new morning. A new year. And hopefully a new habit of daily photos. We'll see how it goes.

This was taken at Pariokena near Gisborne in New Zealand. This area on the East Coast is one of the first areas in the world to see the new days sun. We got up at 4am to drive out to to the beach in order to catch the first rays of the new year.
