Westport Shells
11.0C and mostly bright and sunny. Cloudier later. Wind WSW/W to 24 mph with gusts to 36 mph.
Apothecary7's day off. Maeve the Deerhound got up about 6am so she and I went for a walk and when we came back I sat with her in the living room and finished my book while she went back to sleep. Someone else didn't get up until 8.
Morning at home. I changed the bulb in one of the outside lights and although I wasn't far off the ground on the ladder being up there in the wind was strangely unnerving.
Glenbarr for lunch.
Then we went to Westport beach with Maeve the Deerhound and had a long walk along the sand watching the waves and listening to the roar of the sea. We had expected it to be very blowy but although the sea was raging and the waves crashing in it felt no more than blustery and was very enjoyable. Maeve seemed quite happy and wasn't being blown around. The tide had only just turned so there was plenty of firm wet sand to walk on and the sand wasn't being blown along the beach at Maeve eye level.
Later Apothecary7 was starting another painting.
