The Comic Relief Comic - a 1991 flashback

Recently bought a battered second hand copy of this never-reprinted one-off from March 1991, published by makers of 2000AD. Written by Neil Gaiman, Richard Curtis and many more, it gathered the cream of British comics talent at the time to produce this all-for-charity special. The content was more than a little uneven, but everybody was doing it for free and at some speed to hit the print deadline, if memory serves. Let's face it, when are ever likely to read a Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles strip by Neil Gaiman again? Unlikely to ever be reprinted due to copyright issues, this oddity also features a chilling joke by Roger Mellie, the Man Off the Telly [see extra photo - trigger warning: it's about Jimmy Savile].
