Talking head
A busy day. Started in central Edinburgh where Tom (pictured) led a discussion on the Children's Hearings Improvement Partnership or CHIP for short. Various reflections on what the group had achieved and what remained to be done. To be continued....
At the same time a report I and the team have been working on for a very long time was laid in Parliament. It's the first time we've produced such a report on implementation of children's hearings decisions and it has highlighted that information and data collection has to improve further before we can get a better handle on the issues. But it is a start.
Then the process of distributing copies to the 3,000 volunteers - mainly electronically. Looking at papers on our digital plans. Then off to Glasgow for the inaugural lecture at the Institute for Inspiring Children's Futures given by Sonia Ospina. The focus was on relational leadership and clooboratve governance, reflecting the changing nature of leadership.
A chance for a meal and a chat then home to prepare for the next couple of days. The extra if go Glasgow city chambers at night.
