A day at the Ex
Today we really got into holiday mode. We visited the CNE (Canadian National Exhibition), which, for those of you who don't know, is a huge annual fair held every year in Exhibition Place, Toronto. In this pic you can see some of the fairgrounds rides, the patrons and the CN Tower in the background. There really was something for everyone, from dog shows, to fair ground rides/games, to stalls selling everything from dvds to flowers.
We got the train just before 11 and were there for 12, we started off looking around some of the stalls, before stopping for a picnic lunch while we watched the air show. After that we went for a walk around the grounds playing some fair games, having some ice cream and generally just soaking up the atmosphere of it all. We even got the chance to meet Stefan Frei (the Toronto FC goalie), who was doing a "Meet and Greet", he was really nice and very handsome. ;)
Once we'd finished at The Ex, we took the train into Toronto, where we visited Maple Leaf Square, A got 2 Toronto FC shirts and I got a t-shirt, after that we went down to the Rogers Centre for a quick look in the shop before it closed and I got some great pics of the CN Tower, after that it was time for a quick dinner (in and Irish pub called The Irish Embassy), before getting the train back home. It's been a busy, but awesome day.
