holiday in a day

We so enjoyed hanging out in Kirkby Lonsdale. A very hilly 27 miles on the bikes.... I took the picture when Antony was checking the map and I was predicting the usual wrong turn and 12 mile detour scenario. But he did us proud!

Back at home, things weren't going quite to plan. The builders had a spare day so turned up to start work on our cupboards in the attic room. Unfortunately this was Nanny and Grandad's sleeping quarters so they were left with little choice but to head home, especially as the builders had promised to return at 7am! Worst guest house ever - I've added an extra of the bedroom they escaped. And another extra of the children waving their grandparents off. Thanks to N and G for coming and looking after them, we enjoyed our night off!
