Fun day.

Meeting with Mr B this morning about work, but accompanied by a glass of fizz, so not too taxing.

Then plenty of sitting around, mostly outside, before it was time to rustle up a roast lamb dinner, with lemon surprise cake. Several hugely entertaining rounds of 'one word at a time' - included some in French, though they mostly broke down due to grammar disputes. Much discussion of the over-use of copious, what hamster dragons were likely to eat and how easy it is to make TallGirl laugh so much that she has to lie down.

Then Casablanca, which CarbBoy mostly skipped and only in fact saw the end (after he'd won this very impressive Jenga against Mr B), and then Red Dawn, which was not at all the teenagers-larking-about movie we expected.

This has been the weekend that shows all the other weekends what they could have won.
