Summer Outing

This morning a long walk with friends from the craft shop round the cliffs of South Ronaldsay down to the Skerries Bistro for lunch. It was an amazing walk, with terrific views, quite incredible cliffs, a few showers then bright sunshine and a great outing.

The rock formations around the shores down on the east side are fascinating, the layers/strata all sloping in different direction. The scale is so difficult to convey, but they are vast.

Ollie and Scratch had a great time hurtling around, although they had to be on leads when the path was very steep and close to the edge. When we got to the restaurant they both lay down exhausted in the back of the car and slept while we enjoyed a very tasty meal.

A great outing!
