Lord Stones Country Park
Today we were orienteering on Cringle Moor and the parking location could not have been much better. A little soggy after all the recent rain but so very scenic with the bonus of a marvelous cafe, recommend a visit. These standing stones are not an ancient monument but have been recently erected by the current owners of the park. The views were fantastic. The going for the orienteers was rather tough in places due to the hilly terrain which had a lot of heather clothing them and soggy underfoot. I was very slow but got round ok. Jimmy did not accompany me on the course as dogs not allowed but he did enjoy joining me to admire the views before my run and meeting up with friends and family post-run (stagger).
The extra is a shot of the very full moon with it's light reflecting on the surrounding light cloud. Should have used a tripod to avoid camera shake but didn't want to miss the moment.
