Spring. Not spring.

I have done more parenting today than I think is actually legal. A teen recovering from a long term injury tackling schoolwork that he "should" find straightforward and can't quite remember and a pre-teen with a rammed extra-curricular life and a bunch of Sunday homework has resulted in a bit of a rollercoaster day. The mutt joined in too by rolling her entire body (including her face) in fox poo on the morning walk.

But the rollercoaster has been successfully navigated and I am now in my local waiting to see who shows for our semi regular drinks with local people.

Meanwhile the runner boy had an amazingly successful outing completing the half marathon in 2hrs 11mins, not needing any medical attention and coming a very respectable 3rd out of his 8 colleagues despite a lack of race experience and having a good 7 years on the next one down. He is quite rightly very happy with himself. Which will hopefully get him through the pain that is starting to kick in.
