Another Place

Not been here for a while and we wanted to give Kylie a decent walk on the beach. The rain, however, put paid to that as a plan. Nevertheless, a short wander was worth the trip. It doesn't seem that long ago I wrote about Gormley's assessment of Another Place 10 years on, but I now see it was getting on for 2 years ago. It's interesting looking back at that piece and seeing the statues now because some have fared worse than others and although they'll be around for a while yet, they're not going to last forever. I wonder how long it will be before someone decides one or more of them need to be removed for "preservation" and thereby takes a swipe at the whole point of the installation.
