RIP Alessandro.

47 years old, husband, father, son, brother and friend. Alessandro died 4 months after being diagnosed with oesophageal cancer  - life is so unfair! I have many happy memories of time spent with Alessandro, he and I were work colleagues and travelled several times to Barcelona and Seville, visiting clients and seeking new business. He was a kind and gentle man, softly spoken and a very proud Italian. The last time I saw him was 13 years ago when he and Kathy stayed with us in our house in France, on their way back from their honeymoon visiting family in Italy and attending the French Grand Prix. Today was Alessandro's funeral and a sad ocassion obviously but one where we were able to celebrate the 47 years that Alessandro spent on this earth and celebrate we did, friends and family from all parts of the globe attended and we gave him a dignified send-off. He leaves two sons, Kian Leonardo (11) and Lorenzo Kourish (7) and his lovely wife Katayoun. This is my journal and I wanted to pay this tribute to Alessandro. I understand that Blip is a 'photo a day' journal and usually mine anyway, is full of dogs, trees or vintage china etc and a happy place to be but today is one of remembering a good man!
