Tuck your toes in

Didn't do much today but it was still a kind of productive day.  My mind is beginning to wander to other plans and wonderings (and maybe wanderings too).

Found this wee chap crawling across the grass and when I gently scooped him up he tucked up into such a tight curl.  He reminds me of the koru shape.......

The Koru (Spiral) Symbol
Meaning: Spiral, new beginnings. It represents new life, new beginnings, positive change, personal growth, harmony, peace, tranquility as well as awakening. It means that everything is reborn and represents hope for the future.


But he's not a fern bud, he's just one of these, tucked up into a tight wee ball to protect himself.  If you look closely you'll notice that, with so many toes, it's a virtual impossibility for him to tuck all of them in when he curls up.  He must get pretty cold toes in winter.
