Canute

Had a lovely lunch in Bosham today with Mum and Dad followed by a wander round, taking in the church and the craft centre. One thing I'd not realised about Bosham is that it's where King Canute (Cnut) is supposed to have tried to part the sea. Also, one of his daughters is purportedly buried in the church, having tragically drowned in the mill stream. I keep learning new things about my patch! :)
