Hockey

Gavin and I spent the morning clearing the loft - he is pretty unsentimental and ruthless when it comes to clearing out things we no longer use. I made sure we kept some of the better toys like Lego and Brio...hopefully for the grandchildren one day! But all the boys' old art work from primary school was sadly binned. Then he started on the study and was very happy to throw out old photo frames but thankfully I stopped him as it was time to go watch Thomas' hockey match.

Today Thomas team' played their worst ever match this season and it was reflected in their terrible score - they lost 8-1 against a school who they do not consider to be a strong hockey opponent. He was very upset and came home and went to his room and closed the door...so I thought I would cheer him up by blipping this picture of him looking athletic as he sprints after the ball. I have added an extra of the little town where the school is located and of course you can guess which school they played against.

A quiet evening in - must go make supper now - lamb chops, baby potatoes, asparagus and broccoli. And at the cost of lamb chops these days it should be a special meal!
