Gate to nowhere

Why was a gate installed on a footpath in the middle of a field?  This is my contribution to admirers silly Saturday Challenge which she courageously hosts every week.

It was not my first choice. My original blip is now my extra. I was faced with two difficult decisions.  Either go shopping in Sevenoaks or enjoy a walk in the sunshine through the country park  and down to the local vineyard at Shoreham. What choice did I make? Well it would have been silly to refuse a walk with a glass of wine at the end of it.

So a lovely day was spent walking in summer -like  weather, enjoying a bottle of wine sitting outside in the vineyard and an even longer uphill return walk home.
