Life through the lens...

Bradford Millennium round.

I thought the best way to show this walk was with a collage.

This was a 6.5 mile walk, though it seemed longer because the going was difficult due to the wet conditions. Very boggy in places!(Most places!)
However the Goit Stock water fall was spectacular because of all the rain. The valley it is in is near Cullingworth, which is where our walk began. Called by the Victorians "Hidden Valley".
The Hewden Viaduct was built in 1883 to carry the railway, and was the second tallest in the UK. It is now a cycle path, and walk way, as the railway closed in the 1960's. (Along with so many others, thanks to Dr Beeching)
The walk went under the viaduct ,( where we had our picnic lunch in the drizzle! No mention of that on the weather forcast!)
Then up to Denholme Edge, and onto the moors, (The sun came out!) And back down to Cullingworth.

We passed the Alpacas which were so cute, and the beautiful calf with the big eyes, which I just had to show you!

Back home and shattered!
Spanish omelette for tea, and now going to watch George Gently. Then bed!
Hope you all had a good weekend. Will catch up with everyone later.
