Archie's Child
This one is going to take a bit of explanation - so here goes:
Today was the day that Emily's Big Walk came to Westburn Park in Aberdeen.
Emily's Big Walks are held to raise funds for the Children's Cancer & Leukaemia Group, and a local charity helping children with cancer in the area where the walk takes place.
Here in the North East of Scotland, the decision was taken to share the proceeds with the ARCHIE Foundation. This meant that the walk today was attended by someone dressed as the ARCHIE Foundation's mascot - a rather strange-looking bear- or mouse-like creature, always shown carrying a rabbit-like stuffed toy.
However, 'ARCHIE' today was carrying what looked like a younger version of itself. Here we see the 'youngster' resting inside the mascot's head, after the person inside had taken off the top half of the ARCHIE costume at the end of the day. (That's their legs, still in the lower half of the cozzie, that you can see to the left of the picture.)
The person who dressed up as ARCHIE today deserves all our congratulations - she spent well over 2 hours completely 'in character', completing the walk and interacting with participants without a break on a warm, sunny afternoon - with little in the way of ventilation (and nothing in the way of air-conditioning!) inside the furry suit.
