Rippled swan reflections
A milder spring-like day, much of which was spent creating a new blog for the South Lincolnshire Flora Group. I eventually became tired of sitting at the computer, and went for an afternoon walk to the river. There were plenty of signs of spring, including a pair of swans who have been building a nest in a reedy pond. This afternoon they were relaxing in the sunshine, both preening. I stood and watched them for a while - and took a few photographs. I particularly liked the repeated reflections in this one.
Many thanks for all the stars and hearts for my great crested-newt. Peterborough is one of the best places in the UK for this species so we get to see them fairly often!
